Credit Union ONE hosts Fall Shred Days

Ferndale, Michigan – To help Members dispose of confidential paperwork, Credit Union ONE hosted two document shred events. Our Grand Rapids Branch hosted an event on September 24th, and our Macomb Branch on October 22nd. Over six tons of paperwork was collected, and the shredding service was free to our Members. The Credit Union collected nearly $400 in donations to help support Beaumont Children’s Hospital.

The Credit Union  hosts free document shred days in the spring and fall, to encourage awareness and help members securely destroy confidential material to deter potential identity theft and fraud.

Credit Union member Suzanne Ayanian said “ Thank You to the Credit Union for the special and convenient services you offer, and Thanks for collecting for such a great cause”.

“ Identity theft is a real and ongoing threat, so we try and provide a means for our members to dispose of their confidential information at a no cost way” John Kozich, Vice President of Community Relations for Credit Union ONE said, “ We are happy to provide this free service to our members, and they appreciate and participate each time we have the events”.
