The second grade class learned the “ JA Our Community “ a program which focused on learning about different jobs in a community and how money moves through it, along with how people work together, and how taxes work and what that affords a community. With her first time in the program Michelle stated “ I had a JA class in middle school and it really left an impression on me, I see the lack of financial education across many backgrounds and ages, and I want to help people learn and not be scared of all things money” Michelle stated. “ I was glad that I could work out the time commitment and the teachers schedule as both classrooms were wonderful students”.</span></div>

Included were peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes and beef sticks. This food is rescued from stores and food plants, and redistributed to help those who are in need.</span><br />

air at the broadcast, staff from the branch volunteered on the phone bank and contributed

hosted two document shred events. Our Grand Rapids Branch hosted an event on
September 24<sup>th</sup>, and our Macomb Branch on October 22<sup>nd</sup>.
Over six tons of paperwork was collected, and the shredding service was free to
our Members. The Credit Union collected nearly $400 in donations to help

and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children’s hospitals
across the country to support medical care, life-saving research, outreach, and
preventative education to help millions of kids and their families. Beaumont
Children’s Hospital has been the only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in
Southeastern Michigan since 1988. </span></div>

during the month of May, in honor of several national events observed by the
American Hospital Association including National Nurses Week, National Hospital
Week, and National Emergency Medical Services Week. <o:p></o:p></div>

As a small token of appreciation for the hard work
healthcare professionals do day in and day out, the credit union hosted a gift
card giveaway for employees of Beaumont Hospital, St. Joseph Mercy Hospital
Oakland, and the Detroit Medical Center. Employees entered online and 20
winners were randomly selected on June 1, 2016.<o:p></o:p></div>
