Ferndale, Michigan – As part of the Make Your Mark campaign, Credit Union ONE has recently partnered with the Ferndale Library as a Platinum Sponsor to adopt the Computer Lab at the library.

With the Library’s Make Your Mark campaign, businesses become active fortifiers of one of Ferndale’s most well-respected, highly-utilized institutions. Potential library sponsors will make a difference in the community by aiding the library’s overarching mission: to provide access to materials and services that inform, enrich, entertain and empower.

“We are proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of the Make Your Mark campaign for the Ferndale Public Library,” said John Kozich, Credit Union ONE Vice President of Community Relations.  This five-year sponsorship of the Computer Lab at the library is a great way for us to support and stay connected with the community.

“Several hundred people walk through our doors each day, and they definitely notice when a business steps up and supports the library,” said Library Director Jessica Keyser. “We believe this is a great opportunity for businesses to elevate their profile in the community.  We are so grateful to Credit Union ONE for their generous support of the Ferndale Public Library. We feel this partnership is such a good fit because both of our organizations are committed to the well-being of the city and its residents. By working together, we can make a big difference in the lives of many people in Ferndale and throughout Southeast Michigan.

The library encourages members of the business community to adopt programs and prominent areas of the library and be recognized as supportive partners. Make Your Mark aims to mitigate recent funding losses from property tax revenues, which have been declining every year since 2009.  Hopes for the program are that local business assistance will enable the library to diversify their income and become more financially sustainable.
