Torch Relay supported by Credit Union ONE

Ferndale, Michigan - As part of their ongoing support for Children's Miracle Network (CMN) through Beaumont Children's Hospital, Credit Union ONE participated in the Torch Relay for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals on Saturday, October 5th.
 

For the third year, Credit Union ONE participated as a Market Sponsor in the Detroit Riverfront Walk along with approximately 500 walkers from various organizations.

 The Torch Relay makes 19 stops over the course of one month working their way across the country and ending up in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.  At every stop a walk and/or a run takes place with all donations going directly to the CMN Hospital that is represented at that location.

Walking for Miracles

Ferndale, Michigan - As part of their ongoing support for Children's Miracle Network (CMN) through Beaumont Children's Hospital, Credit Union ONE participated in the Torch Relay for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals on Saturday, October 9, 2013.

The Torch Relay makes 17 stops over the course of one month working their way across the country and ending up in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.  At every stop a walk and/or a run takes place with all donations going directly to the CMN Hospital that is represented at that location.

Credit Union ONE celebrates Beaumont Hospital Staff

Ferndale, Michigan - During the month of May 2012, Credit Union ONE celebrated Beaumont Hospital Staff, and is pleased to announce the winner of the Beaumont Hospital Week Drawing of an iPad3.

Credit Union ONE offered specials throughout the month for Beaumont employees and their families, and held a drawing of an Apple iPad3 for staff to win.

Close to 400 entries were received for the drawing, and Dr. Andrea Nielsen of the Beaumont Eye Institute was chosen as the lucky winner.

Bill Pay Sweepstakes Grand Prize Awarded to Credit Union ONE Member

Ferndale, Michigan – Credit Union ONE announced that one of their members has been awarded the grand prize in the “It Pays to Go Green” sweepstakes.

Where else would you have the opportunity to win $1,500 and help the environment at the same time? The ‘It Pays To Go Green” sweepstakes, which ran from May 15, 2011 – June 30, 2011, encouraged members to enroll in Online Bill Pay and automatically be entered to win one of three amazing prizes. The contest was open to all members of nine participating credit unions who were checking account holders in good standing, who were at least 18 years old by May 15, 2011 and were legal U.S. residents.

Credit Union ONE member Michelle Witulski was thrilled to find out that she was the $1,500 grand prize winner of the contest. For the Beaumont Hospital employee, time is very important. “Bill Pay is fast, easy and convenient; and it only takes a few seconds to pay the bills,” said Witulski.

Credit Union ONE celebrated the Nursing Staff of all Beaumont Hospitals by offering specials running through the month of May for Beaumont employees and their families, as well as holding a drawing for nurses to enter for a chance to win an Apple IPad.

Out of several hundred entries received, Emergency Room nurse Jamie Pepper, of Beaumont Royal Oak Hospital was chosen to win the prize.

Credit Union ONE Prepares for Cares for Kids Radiothon

Ferndale, MI - Credit Union ONE is anxiously awaiting Thursday, May 12, 2011, as they are making plans for the upcoming Children’s Miracle Network Cares for Kids Radiothon at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.

This is the fourth annual radiothon for Beaumont Children’s Hospital and WDVD 96.3 FM, but the first year for Credit Union ONE to provide a back-up phone bank and participate in the event.

Credit union employees will handle the overflow calls that would otherwise be lost from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Credit Union ONE headquarters in Ferndale, Michigan.

In addition to supporting the phone bank, Credit Union ONE is contributing a Power Hour donation of $4,000 and has applied to the Co-Op Financial Services Miracle Match Program for matching funds.

The purpose of the radiothon is to raise funds to provide life saving equipment, specialized pediatric programs, and charity care to help thousands of kids in metropolitan Detroit.

“We are happy to be able to lend this support to such a worthy cause as the Children’s Miracle Network, and partner with Beaumont Children’s Hospital in their endeavors to raise much needed funds,” said Gary A. Moody, Credit Union ONE President/CEO.

Beaumont Hospital, Troy Receives Scholarship from Credit Union ONE to support Nurses Magnet Program

Ferndale, Michigan – Credit Union ONE presented a $1,500 scholarship to Beaumont Hospital, Troy on May 19, 2010 in support of the Magnet Recognition ProgramTM designation that was recently achieved by the Troy nursing staff at the hospital.

The scholarship will allow an additional nurse to attend the annual conference, at which they will receive accolades from their peers, as well as be able to take part in additional classes that they would not normally have access to.

The Magnet Recognition ProgramTM was created in 1994 to bestow national recognition on health care organizations that demonstrate sustained nursing care excellence. Specifically, the program recognizes hospitals who demonstrate excellence in the management, philosophy and practices of nursing services; adherence to national standards to improve the quality of patient care services; nursing leadership in supporting professional practice and nursing competence; and understanding and respect for the cultural and ethnic diversity of patients, their families and other health care providers.
