Ferndale,
Michigan – This holiday season, Credit Union ONE’s members and staff generously
gave back to the community through donations to Forgotten Harvest and the U.S.
Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.
Throughout
December, each of the credit union’s branches collected donations for the Toys
for Tots Program. This year, the collection included more than 1,000 toys,
which were picked up by local Marines for distribution to Metro Detroit children.
Michael Jarnel, Jerome Oswald, and Anthony Jackson of the U.S. Marine Corps joined John Kozich (third from left), Credit Union ONE Vice President of Community Relations, to collect the donated toys. |
Additionally, Credit Union ONE hosted a canned food drive benefiting Forgotten Harvest and their mission to end hunger. In total, more than 1,500 pounds of food was collected and the credit union also donated $500 to help those in need.

“Consistent
with our organizational values and community focus, we engage in charitable
activities throughout the year. Being involved in worthy causes that provide
support and a helping hand to those in need is part of our culture,” said Gary
Moody, President and CEO of Credit Union ONE. “Engaging our employees and members
validates the cooperative philosophy upon which we operate. It can and does
reach beyond providing financial services and truly benefits those in need in
our community.”
